Shandong Sanjin Glass Machinery Co., Ltd. was established in 1959, and holds the chair of Vice-President in the China Glass Association and the China Light Industry Machinery Association. It was restructured into a private enterprise company in 2004 and converted into a Joint Venture company in 2011 with Emhart Glass SA, a division of Bucher Industries AG, Switzerland.  Emhart contributed a capital of 400 million Yuan to company through equity merger and subscription, becoming the top 1 shareholder of the company. In 2018, Shandong Sanjin became the wholly-controlled subsidiary of Bucher Industries AG.

At present, the company has more than 800 employees and a total asset of 600 million Yuan. The company is making complete glass bottle machinery production lines and new building material machinery equipment, with the domestic market share of more than 60%. The products of the company have been sold to more than twenty countries and regions in Asia, Europe and Africa. Shandong Sanjin is also the direct supplier and strategic partner of many famous domestic glass bottle manufacturers.

Shandong Sanjin is the Shandong High Tech Enterprise, the Provincial Technology Center, the Shandong Glass Machinery Engineering Technology Center, and the Postdoctoral Workstation. It has completed 8 scientific research projects of Shandong Province and obtained 24 national patents. Its products have won more than 60 awards at the national, provincial and ministerial levels. Shandong Sanjin is the leading enterprise in the industry of glass and ceramic product equipment, the Advanced Group for Scientific Innovation in the 11th Five-Year Plan of the China National Light Industry Council, one of the first single item champion enterprises in the manufacturing industry of Shandong Province, and Shandong Credit Enterprise, winning a good reputation among all walks of the society.

After establishing the joint venture, the company has accelerated its transformation and promoted the applications of new technologies, equipment and processes.  The company has spent more than 150 million Yuan to update its equipment and reform its technologies, and purchased more than 100 high-end digital processing facilities and 3D testing devices. In 2015, the company bought foundry coated sand production line, induction hardening machine tool for heat treatment, vacuum cleaner, ionitriding furnace and welding robots, and put the framework assembly line and painting production line into operation, making great contribution to improving production efficiency and reducing environmental pollution. By putting the ERP management system into use, the company has unified the logistics with the information flow. The company has developed the first CIS bottle making machine and high-performance glass bottle tester in China through co-research. A lot of new technologies have been used in the recently-developed HS-series and AIS-series bottle making machines, such as multi-servo structure; the parallel switching of initial die and forming die; and small nozzle pressure blowing, realizing the update of the common glass bottle machineries and reducing the gap between China and the developed countries in this aspect.
